Sul primo altare a sinistra, in marmo di Custoza con colonne, è posta la pala S. Antonio tra due angeli. L'opera è siglata in basso a destra “A.C.” (Achille Casanova, di Bologna) e a sinistra “M. Gasperini D.”
Precedentemente vi era la pala con i Santi Francesco di Paola, Pietro, Gregorio, Antonio, Luigi Gonzaga e Bellino, firmata e datata in basso a sinistra “Francesco Maria Bossi Atestinus Pint 1790”.
Attualmente quest’opera è conservata in sacrestia.
Oltre alla tela a carattere devozionale il pittore bolognese Achille Casanova, autore di imprese decorative nella Basilica di Sant’Antonio a Padova e nella chiesa di San Francesco a Bologna, realizzò anche i disegni per la nuova decorazione della chiesa eseguita nel 1938 dal bergamasco Tito Poloni.
